I’ve experimented with countless razors, searching for the perfect shave.
Around five years ago, I jumped on the subscription razor trend and upgraded from drugstore brands to Billie.Later, I went back to drugstore razors, than tried men’s razors. Now, I’m finally giving Flamingo a try.
I believe I’ve discovered a razor I can consistently use, even though it’s not flawless.

What I like about the Flamingo razor:
Let’s begin by exploring the advantages of the Flamingo razor.
Accessibility
as an avid Amazon user, I’m thrilled that I can now get Flamingo razor refills with same-day delivery in my location!
plus, you can find Flamingo razors and refills at Target. This makes it easy to get refills while I’m already out shopping. That’s actually where I originally bought my Flamingo razor.
I appreciate the subscription model for refills, Flamingo’s initial approach, but I’d rather buy them as needed. I previously subscribed to Billie razors (more details soon). However,I cancelled because I often forgot to skip deliveries. This led to an unnecessary surplus of refills.
Flamingo’s razor refills and accessories are super accessible, which I love! You can find them easily at Amazon, Target, and many other stores.

Pricepoint
This razor starter kit is a fantastic value! For about $15, you get a handle, four blade refills, and a convenient shower holder.
Consider purchasing your starter kit directly from Flamingo. This is an excellent idea, even if you plan to cancel their refill subscription later.
New members get an incredible offer: a starter kit for only $7! It includes a razor handle, two blades,a shower mount, and shave gel.
I regret not knowing this when I initially purchased my Flamingo razor. You’d be hard-pressed to find a comparable price elsewhere.
The grippy, heavy handle
Having previously used men’s razors, I found the Flamingo razor’s handle to be surprisingly high quality.
Its construction provides a comfortable grip, and the overall feel suggests a premium build.
This razor has a pleasing heft, unusual for women’s razors. This added weight gives it a premium feel!
Fair warning: my feelings differ from those about Billie.
Clean shave & long lasting blades.
A comfortable grip and low cost are irrelevant if the razor doesn’t shave well. Thus, the best thing about the Flamingo razor is this:
I’ve had zero irritation and consistently achieve a smooth, clean shave. I’m genuinely pleased with the performance of Flamingo razors and the results they deliver.
Flamingo delivers a smooth shave, even in sensitive spots like my bikini area, where I frequently enough experience bumps and irritation.
Of all the razors I’ve tested, even Billie, Flamingo blades stand out for their incredible sharpness and durability!
What I don’t like about the Flamingo razor:
I adore my Flamingo razor, but it has a few drawbacks. Here’s my honest take:
Suction shower holder
Honestly, my main issue with the Flamingo razor is its suction cup shower holder. It constantly falls off my shower wall! This usually causes the razor to detach from the handle, and I have to reassemble it.
The first time it happened, I was home alone.I heard a loud crash from the shower. I thought someone had broken in! It took me a while to realize it was just the razor holder, razor, and handle falling against the tile.
That’s a bit frustrating. I believe Billie’s adhesive shower holder is a superior choice.

Flamingo vs Billie
Having tried both Flamingo and Billie razors, I’ve identified distinct advantages and disadvantages for each. Here’s my conclusion:
Areas where they both shine
What I like about Flamingo
I favor the Flamingo razor. My primary reason for switching from Billie, and why I’m satisfied with that decision, is quite simple.
My personal dislike for Billie razors stems from their Aloe gel coating. It’s designed to enhance smoothness during shaving. However, I found the texture excessively slippery and thick, hindering a close and effective shave.
I noticed I needed to press harder than usual, and I accidentally cut myself a few times.
though, some users rave about the aloe vera! ultimately, your preference matters most.
Flamingo excels in a few more key areas, from my personal perspective.
What I miss about Billie
Despite its flaws,I do miss a few aspects of the billie razor.
Closing thoughts
If you’re a dedicated Billie shaver thinking about trying something new,or just looking for a better razor,I hope this review helps you make the right choice.
